国際バイオゼミナール
国際社会で活躍できる研究者を養成するための先進的国際教育カリキュラム ( 博士後期課程授業 ) の一環として、以下の国際ゼミナールを開講します。
国際バイオゼミナールA・B(平成21年度入学生までのカリキュラム）
米国など英語圏の大学等での研究活動に従事するために必要なコミュニケーション能力を習得することを目的とします。
本学教員と研究上の交流があり、教育的見地を持って受講生を受け入れてくれる海外の研究指導者の指導を受けて、1ヶ月程度 ( 国際バイオゼミナールA ) あるいは1-2週間程度 ( 国際バイオゼミナールB ) の期間、海外の研究室での研究活動 ( 共同研究の実施や実験技術の習得など ) やセミナー・教育活動等に参加します。
履修には、活動計画書の提出と主指導教員および教務委員会の承認を必要とします。
国際バイオゼミナール（平成21年度入学生までは国際バイオゼミナールC）
英語を使って研究上の議論を行うために必要なコミュニケーション能力を習得することを目的とします。
カリフォルニア大学デービス校生物科学部 ( UCD-CBS ) などの英語圏の大学等から教員・研究者を招聘し、二日間の集中講義と英語による議論を行います。
学生は、講義の内容に関する英語論文を事前に読解・学習し、キーワードやコンセプトを理解した上で講義に臨みます。
講義は少人数クラスのゼミ形式となっており、学生の主体的・積極的な取り組みを奨励します。
