Economical support for students

All the doctoral course students, except those who receive official support from Japan Society for the Promotion of Science or other official fellowships, are employed as COE- Research Assistants (COE-RAs) to lead them as excellent researchers and educators.

Also in the fiscal year of 2008 and 2009, a few most excellent students were selected to be the COE-Special RAs (COE-SRAs).

*The employment of COE-SRA may be recruited during the year depending on the budget situation.

Economical support for young researchers

The students who have just obtained their Ph.D. degree at NAIST may be trained to further advance their research skills for a year as COE-Postdoctoral fellows (COE-PDs).

Also in the fiscal year of 2008 and 2009, a few most excellent COE-PDs were employed as COE-Special Postdoctoral fellows (COE-SPDs) with better compensation.
