comments Dr. Siripong Thitamadee I have been primarily trained in the field of plant cell biology under the supervision of Prof. Takashi Hashimoto. Early period of Prof. Hashimoto’s lab was sharing space with the research group leading by Prof. Masao Tasaka who is working on shoot meristem formation. Without knowing it, the lab environment had put an impact on my interest in the subject of developmental biology, which I later had an opportunity to join the group of Prof. Ykä Helariutta to work on plant vascular developmental study through the recommendation kindly offered by Associate Prof. Keiji Nakajima. After returning to NAIST in 2005, I had engaged a research involving protein phosphorylation before my participation in the GCOE fellowship program for zebrafish developmental study. I truly hope that my work experiences will enable me to make the contribution into the new research subject.
